In-Person Services and "Re-Opening"
As the state and county begin to prepare to “re-open,” those who deliver services to individuals served by the Regional Center are facing some decisions. It is important to consider that while some providers may be able to go back to “business as usual,” for many it may take time for some services to return. Many services may be phased back slowly depending on the needs of the individual, the ability and resources of the provider, and always in consideration of the most updated local public health order(s.) Even before the COVID 19 crisis, the decision to when and how to accept services is up to the individual, based on the individual’s needs and preferences as part of a planning team process. During these unprecedented times, ELARC has developed guiding considerations based on federal, state, and local public health guidelines.
