Trailer bill language enacted on July 28, 2009 and effective immediately requires designated programs to provide alternative senior program and customized program components to their participants.

Designated programs required to provide an alternative senior program component include: behavior management (515), activity center (505), adult development center (510), social recreation (525), socialization training (028), creative art (094) and work activity (525) programs.

Designated programs required to provide an alternative customized alternative customized program component include: activity center (505), adult development center (510), behavior management (515), community integration training (505) and community activities support services programs (063).

An information session of the trailer bill was conducted at the regional center on January 20, 2010.Session handouts including program design supplement templates are now available. Please refer to the program section for more information Vendors are reminded that for each of the new program components that apply to the service codes specified above requires a service design supplement describing how the vendor will be implementing these options. They must be submitted to the ELARC by the close of business day on March 5, 2010. The supplements should be submitted to the attention of Martin Cogan, Supervisor of the Community Services Unit, at P.O.Box 7916 Alhambra, Ca. 91803.
