VALOR stands for Voices, Action, Leadership Organized for Resilience is a statewide initiative designed to strengthen leadership development, community engagement, advocacy, and equitable outcomes for Latino individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), their families, self-advocates, and community leaders throughout California.

Led by the Family Resource Centers Network of California (FRCNCA) and administered by Heluna Health, VALOR seeks to build a statewide Latino Leadership Network connected to California's Family Resource Centers, Regional Centers, community organizations, and local leaders.

Participants may have opportunities to:

  • Attend leadership trainings and workshops
  • Participate in regional convenings and statewide events
  • Connect with leaders throughout California
  • Share experiences and community priorities
  • Learn about advocacy, systems change, and community engagement
  • Help identify solutions to issues affecting Latino individuals with I/DD and their families
