Community Connections: Fair Hearings

Californians with developmental disabilities, particularly people of color, find the process to appeal decisions by their regional centers very difficult. The “Fair Hearing” system can be very confusing, complex, and biased. Fair Hearing is the process for resolving disagreements between the
Regional Center and the individual/family receiving services. You have a right to appeal.
