Self Determination Orientation Part 1

The Self Determination Program is a service delivery system available to all who qualify for Regional Center Services. This program allows for individuals to have more authority and freedom in how their services and supports are planned and implemented. Self Determination was developed as a voluntary alternative to the traditional way of providing regional center services. Attend our Self Determination Orientations to learn more about the program or to start the process:

All orientations are done virtually via Zoom. The orientation is separated into 2 parts. You need to attend Part 1 before attending Part 2. If you want to enter into the program, taking the Orientation is required.

Part 1 will cover:

• The history of SD & the 5 Principles
• Person Centered Planning
• Home & Community Based Services (HCBS)
• The Independent Facilitator
• The Individual Budget

Register here for the October Part 1 Orientation. Once your registration is approved, you will receive an email with instructions on how to join the session. Instructions for registering for Part 2 will be given during Part 1.

This will be our last orientation for 2025 (no orientation provided in December). Be on the lookout for our 2026 dates.

All orientations are via Zoom. The orientation is separated into 2 parts, you must do Part 1 prior to Part 2. To begin enrollment in SDP, you are REQUIRED to complete orientation.
